The Blitz IT Forum of Akbar Peerbhoy College, B.Sc.(I.T.) Department with all its pride presents the annual intercollegiate IT festival BLITZ '10 scheduled to be celebrated on 10th & 11th of February this year.

The program is of unique importance as it meant to promote the awareness of Information Technology among students in particular and people at large. It is the amalgamation of technical and non-technical skills of students from different colleges of Mumbai and suburbs.

Blitz provides a platform to the young brains to turn their imagination and creativity into life. It enables students to learn about new skills & tricks and at the same time facilitates mutual interaction between students of various colleges & eminent dignitaries.

Anjuman-I-Islam

Anjuman-I-Islam is a leading educational conglomerate and social organization of India, established in the year 1874, by a group of visionaries led by Justice Badruddin Tyabji. Anjuman has an illustrious record of dedicated service to society through education and social service. Today it has more than 75 institutions with about one lakh students in various fields of education and humanitarian services.

Considering the high educational standards maintained at Anjuman in various discipline of education. Anjuman-I-Islam is the only institution in the state of Maharashtra which has been awarded the prestigious Maraharashtra Govt.’s “State Award 2000” for excellence in educational & social services.

Though Anjuman-I-Islam is India's largest minority institute, its doors are open to all communities. Anjuman-I-Islam is a secular organization known for its national integrity.

Akbar Peerbhoy College

Akbar Peerbhoy College was established on 16th June, 1969 by the Anjuman-i-Islam, Mumbai. It was originally started as Anjuman College of Commerce & Economics, but in the year 1975 it was dedicated to the memory of late Mr. Akbar Peerbhoy , a noted Barrister, Philanthropist, Educationist and founder of the college and is now known as Anjuman-i-Islam Akbar Peerbhoy College of Commerce & Economics. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for the teaching courses of studies up to B.Com Degree Examination (Three-year integrated B.Com Degree course). In addition the college also conducts certificate courses in computer programming (Software), Diploma in Business Management and has also started the Degree Courses of the Bachelor's in Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.-I.T.), B.Sc. (Comp. Science), from the year of 2004-2005 college has started 2 year post graduate course of the Masters of Science in Information Technology and M.Com.

Rules and Regulations

• Entry to the students will be strictly on the basis of a valid College ID card.
• The events are open for the students of all the streams.
• On the spot entries are permitted. The numbers of entries are limited.
• All the participants should report 15 minutes before the event starts.
• Organizers reserve the right to change, modify or cancel any of the events or rules and regulations without giving any reasons.
• The decision of the judges will be final.
• Misbehavior on the part of any individual will result in his/her disqualification from the event and expulsion from the college premises.
• Cell phones should be kept in silent mode during the events.
• The participants and visitors are solely responsible for their belongings and the college takes no responsibility.
• Any damage caused to the college property by the participants or visitors will be accordingly claimed and are liable of punishment.
